Credits and billing
You pay for the work agents do, one turn at a time, from credit you buy up front. Seats, for sharing the account, are a separate monthly plan.
What a turn is
One turn is one message an agent receives and everything it does to answer it. The tools it calls, the files it writes and the thinking it does inside that answer are part of the same turn. A turn is charged when it starts, at the grade of the version that runs it.
| Each of these is one turn | Charged to |
|---|---|
| A message in a session, including a Test session | The workspace that owns the agent |
| A message from a visitor in the website chat | The workspace that owns the agent |
| A scheduled run, or a webhook that starts the agent | The workspace that owns the agent |
| A call from your own code, through the API | The workspace that owns the agent |
| One agent handing work to another | One more turn, at the receiving agent's grade |
Messages to the Agent Builder are free. Web searches inside a turn cost nothing extra. A turn that started stays charged even if it fails partway. A message refused because the agent is paused is not charged.
What credit buys
Today one credit costs one dollar. Credit is prepaid and does not expire, idle agents cost nothing, and there is no monthly minimum. Every new account starts with 5 credits, once.
| You pay | Lite turns 0.01 credits each | Standard turns 0.02 | Premium turns 0.05 | Best turns 0.2 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25 | 2,500 | 1,250 | 500 | 125 |
| $100 | 10,000 | 5,000 | 2,000 | 500 |
| $500 | 50,000 | 25,000 | 10,000 | 2,500 |
What each grade is for is in Build an agent.
Worked examples
Buying credit
In the rail, open Billing. Under Add credit, pick $25, $100 or $500, or type any whole-dollar amount from $5 to $10,000 and press Buy credits. You pay on Stripe's page, and your card never touches AgentNava. Back on Billing, "Payment received" changes to "Credit added" once Stripe confirms, usually within seconds.
Each purchase is a one-off payment, and nothing renews by itself. The owner and Admins can buy credit. A Member sees "Only an admin can add credit to this workspace." Everyone on the account sees the balance and the last 20 charges, under Recent activity.
When the balance runs out
Agents do not stop at zero. So that work already under way is not cut off, turns keep running until the balance reaches minus 5 credits. Your next purchase pays that back first.
| Below minus 5 credits | What happens |
|---|---|
| Someone chatting, testing or using the API | "This workspace is out of credit. Add more at agentnava.com/account-billing to keep your agents running." |
| A website visitor | "This assistant can't reply right now. Please try again later." Visitors are never told about your balance. |
| A scheduled run | It is skipped, and the schedule stays. The agent's card reads "last run: skipped: out of credit". |
Credit is never bought for you, and there is no low-balance email yet. Keep an eye on Billing, or on Credit left in Usage.
Seats
A plan sets how many people can share one account. Seats are billed monthly and include no credit: every plan buys credit the same way. Each member and each pending invite uses a seat.
| Plan | Price | People |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | Free | 1 |
| Team | $29 a month | Up to 5 |
| Company | $99 a month | Up to 20 |
| Enterprise | Talk to us | As many as you need |
To change plan, open Team, then Manage seats. Only the owner or an Admin can. Cancel and move to Solo takes effect at the end of the paid month. If a payment lapses, the account drops to Solo's limit and nobody is removed, though new people cannot join until there are seats.
Usage
Usage shows requests per API key and the credit spent by the whole workspace, for This month (from the 1st, in UTC) or the Last 30 days. Chats, website visitors and schedules appear together on the No API key row.
