AgentNava · Using the app

Your first agent

Five steps from sign-up to an agent doing real work. Each step names the button to press.

Before you start

Signing up creates your workspace, named after you, with 5 credits to spend. A credit is a dollar, and a turn on the default grade, Standard, costs 0.02 credits, so that is about 250 turns. You land on Agents.

Five steps

1

Create it

Press + New agent. Describe the job in plain English in the box, then press Build my agent.

The agent exists from that moment, as version 1, and the Build screen opens on it. The Agent Builder turns your description into its instructions and gives it a short name for the job. Rename it any time with the pencil beside its name.

Want a head start? Choose or hire a ready-made one and pick from 71 agents built and maintained by AgentNava. Configure opens your own copy in the Build screen. New session starts using it straight away. A ready-made agent brings its instructions and workflows; you connect its apps yourself, in step 3.

2

Tell it how to work

In the Build screen, tell the Agent Builder what to change, for example "every Monday, find invoices more than 30 days late and draft a polite reminder for each". Or edit the Spec tab yourself: instructions.md says how the agent behaves, and workflows/ holds the named procedures it follows.

Messages to the Agent Builder are free: they use none of your credit.

3

Connect the apps it needs

Open the Connections tab and add each app the agent should use, such as Gmail or Google Drive. Connect apps and data explains whose account it uses and what to do when a sign-in expires.

4

Publish, then test

Your edits wait in a draft. Press Publish to save them as the next version: v2, v3 and so on. Then press Test on the agent's page. It starts a session with the published version and its real tools, and each turn is charged.

Test always runs the published version, never the draft. So the order is: edit, Publish, Test.

5

Put it to work

Talk to it in a session, send its share link to your team, put it on your website, or give it a schedule in the Trigger tab. Put it to work compares the ways.

The screen at a glance

The rail on the left is the same on every page. On a phone it becomes a bar along the bottom, with the rest under More.

In the railWhat it holds
AgentsYour agents. Each agent's page shows its last 7 days, its website chat and its sessions.
ConnectionsThe app accounts your agents sign in with. Connect one once, then pick it in any agent.
DataThe knowledge bases and databases your agents read.
BillingYour balance, what a turn costs, and buying credit.
DeveloperAPI keys, for calling your agents from your own code.
UsageRequests and spend, per API key.
TeamThe people who share this account, their roles, and seats.
SettingsYour name, the workspace name, its identifiers, and deleting the account.

Your initials at the bottom of the rail open Account settings (profile, password and two-factor) and Sign out. Projects, teams of agents working toward one goal, joins the rail when it is available to you.
